I've been looking forward to that for ages. I'm watching it this weekend. Pretty sure I've already made up my mind about what I think of it though, lol. I have no shame.

I'll wait for a dvd rip of it, even though he is my number one favourite actor.

"Once"

Not sure if anyone has reviewed this yet... great movie mainly about the music but also about the connection between the two main characters along the way.... the music in this is fantastic.... won an oscar for best song in 2008 i believe. set in Ireland where an irish guy and a czech girl meet and through a series of events begin playing songs together (him on guitar, her on piano).

I should get around to watching this. It is one of the 200+ movies I have downloaded but not watched.

**1/2

Pretty typical black-oriented comedy. Martin Lawrence is quite flat - as with many of his other roles - in this movie, however the rest of the cast make up for it. The plot had a decent enough premise with passable dialogue to flesh it out. Enjoyed the performances from Michael Clarke Duncan, Mike Epps (plenty of funny banter) and Mo'nique as they got to work outside of their comfort zones a bit. Nothing special, but worth a look for anyone who likes that brand of humour and can put up with Martin Lawrence.

at school, we are reading Q & A (Slumdog Millionare) and now we are watching the movie.
I cannot get into the movie at all. There is no comparison.
I know the movie is only based on the book, but I still cant get into the movie, knowing how awesome the book is.

does anyone else have the same feelings towards the movie?

you have to take the movie for what it is, movies will almost never be as good, as the books they're based on.

I watched Ten Inch Hero and liked it a lot. Some of the dialogue at the end was a bit cheesy/lame but yeah, good movie.

I do. The movie was so cheesy and predictable that it bored me out of my mind. One of the most standard affairs of last year. Doubt, Revolutionary Road, The Wrestler, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button and even Milk were much better than it.

I got me an ego boosting sig. Finally!

yeah the book totally kills it, but thats the case with most things. But considering Slumdog Millionare won best picture and numerous other awards, i would have expected more from it.

Of those that I've seen, Milk > Slumdog Millionaire > Revolutionary Road

I was really expecting a lot more from Revolutionary Road.
