Biography

Blending a myriad of genres into their songs, DANCE GAVIN DANCE is always pushing the envelope, while somehow maintaining a sense of melody and urgency. The Sacramento outfit is often referred to as a “bands band” and is regularly compared to Alexisonfire, Circa Survive and Fall Of Troy.

While the debut Downtown Battle Mountain certainly remains one of DANCE GAVIN DANCE’s more core releases, the new album Happiness builds upon last year’s self-titled album which, while not featuring the likes of Johnny Craig, brought their new vocalist, Kurt Travis, into the spotlight. Quite simply, Happiness is DANCE GAVIN DANCE performing at their highest caliber yet with a gleeful, carefree aesthetic, and the album is all the more infectious because of it.
